I encourage you to learn more about your local Democratic party and get involved in local elections. Whether you are a candidate or a volunteer, your help is key to creating jobs, supporting education, and building the community. This site is intended to be a an outlet for all local Democrats. As a webmaster and journalist it my goal to share with you a variety of Democratic events, opinions and “voices.” I encourage you to share your local Democratic news and views with us. The Winnebago County Democratic Central Committee meets at 7 PM on the third Thursday of most months. (We usually do not meet in August or December.) Our meetings are open to all friends of the Democratic Party and are held at: UAW Hall 112 N. 2nd St Rockford, IL 61107 (Map) Our 2014 meetings will be held: • January 16, 2014 • February 20, 2014 • March 20, 2014 (may be rescheduled) • April 16, 2014 – Special county convention • April 17, 2014 – Meeting cancelled, next meeting is May 15 • May 15, 2014 • June 19, 2014 • July 17, 2014 • July 18, 2014, Friday July 18 is our Golf Play Day and Dinner • August 2014 (No meeting in August.) • September 18, 2014 • October 16, 2014 • November 4, 2014 – Election Day, volunteers wanted • November 20, 2014 • December 2014 – Typically no meeting in December |
