Meet and Greet
Saturday, April 22, 2017
Please join the Winnebago County Democrats to meet state Senator and gubernatorial candidate Daniel Biss this Saturday, April 22nd, at 2pm at the IBEW hall, 6820 Mill Road in Rockford.
First as a mathematics professor, and now as a legislator, Daniel Biss has always tackled the hardest problems.
While teaching, Daniel’s desire to confront our state’s most critical problems compelled him to get more involved in his local community — first as an organizer, and later as a candidate.
Daniel has taken on the machine and won, and now focuses on offering long-term, creative solutions and fighting for those whose voices are typically ignored. He has been a leader in the resistance against the dangerous policies of both Donald Trump and Bruce Rauner.
You can read more about Daniel and his campaign here:
Please come to our Meet and Greet on Saturday to hear directly from Daniel and ask him your questions.
Join Democratic candidate for Rockford Mayor, Tom McNamara,

David Soll, Democratic Candidate for County Board Member is having a fundraiser, Friday, October 7, 2016. See the flyer below for details.
From John Nelson's County Board Chairman campaign website:
"I have serious concerns about certain Winnebago County vendors and their relationship with Winnebago County officials. We were all shocked to learn that vendors doing business with the county were complicit with the Winnebago County Purchasing Director, who was sentenced to two years in prison for theft of taxpayer money.
Last week I proposed a three point plan that will: 1) Regulate vendor campaign contributions to candidates or elected Winnebago County officials; 2) Require disclosure of any campaign contributions to any candidates or elected Winnebago County officials on bid applications; and 3) Push for term limits on elected Winnebago County officials. These three measures will help ensure the bid process and vendors do not obtain any unfair advantage due to a cozy relationship with Winnebago County officials."
Read the entire post and press release from John Nelson, Democratic Candidate for County Board Chairman.
Early voting begins September 29, 2016.
Please vote early so you can focus on helping our candidates in the final weeks of the election.
