Rockford for Bernie supporters are marching in Rockford's Labor Day Parade,
this note from David Soll a member of the group...
Dear fellow Democrats,
Are you a Bernie Sanders supporter? Then come march with other local Bernie supporters in the Rockford, IL Labor Day Parade. We are meeting up at Katie's Cup at 8:30, lineup begins at 9am, at which time we will proceed to our designated lineup spot and begin to decorate our two vehicles. Our spot in this years parade was picked as a "national solidarity" event by the Sanders campaign. As such we have several pre-paid for Bernie t-shirts to give to the first few dozen folks, along with window placards and Bernie 2020 informational flyers. Feel free to bring bags of candy to hand out. Keep in mind we cannot toss candy from vehicles. The parade route ends at Davis Park where there's an all day union sponsored lunch. At which point we can walk among those in attendance and work the BERN! App with those willing to have those discussions.
Cheer on your local Democrats and organized labor in Rockford's Labor Day Parade Monday.
Democrats registered for the parade include:
Marilyn Hite-Ross, Steve Stadelman, and David Vella.
Democratic groups include: Rockford for Bernie and Illinois for Warren.
There are likely more, but that's the list this webmaster has today. I'm certain you'll see various other elected Democratic officials. Cheer them on and cheer on our organized labor groups!
