Arthur “Art” Bardsley announces run for County Board District 17 and fundraiser
Loves Park, IL ---
Art Bardsley, who ran for State Central Committee for the Illinois 16th Congressional district in 2018 after taking up Senator Bernie Sanders’ call to arms for regular folks to run for elected office at all levels of government is proud to announce his intent to run for the 17th District of the Winnebago County Board. He brings with him an unwavering and unapologetic grassroots progressive voice of, by, and for the people of his district and the whole of the county and not the special or monied interests.
A countywide public bank would allow for cuts to local and property taxes while providing ample opportunities to balance our budget without sacrificing critically needed social services and public safety funds, making sure Amtrak comes to our county, and increasing local recycling programs that will allow us to do our small part in combating global climate change are the kinds of solutions Art will take up in the name of the people. Art will be releasing more detailed position papers over the next several months on these and other solutions at his website: www.art4illinois.com. Art can be contacted for further information here: email@example.com
Until such time as we have fully funded public elections across America, Art finds himself having to hold a small dollar kickoff fundraiser at Busters Bar & Grill in Loves Park this Thursday, August 1st, 2019 from 6pm to 8:30 with an open Q&A session. In a world dominated by money, small and large business interests, questionable ethics, and backdoor deals instead of the people, Art’s unwavering progressive voice is sorely needed on our county board.
